As the new school year begins, Spring Branch Elementary (SBE) had a fantastic Meet-the-Teacher event, offering students and families an opportunity to connect with their teachers and explore their new classrooms.

This annual back-to-school event helped families get a first look at the school environment and prepare for the 2024-2025 school year.

We hope that families left the event with the following:

• Be a volunteer!  Engaging in volunteer activities helps build a relationship with your child’s teacher, offers insight into classroom operations, and allows you to observe your child in their new environment. It’s also a great way to meet other students and better understand your child’s school life.
• Join a club or the PTA! Joining a club or school parent organization is an excellent way to stay involved and support school activities.
• Stay organized. Review and organize any materials provided by your teacher in a folder for easy reference.
• Connect. Understand how your teacher will communicate with you and your child throughout the year to stay informed about classroom updates and events.
