Bikes for readers at Spring Branch Elementary (SBE)

Spring Branch Elementary (SBE) celebrated the season with joy, achievement, and community pride on Saturday, December 6, as Communities In Schools (CIS), in partnership with CYCLE (Changing Young Children’s Lives through Education), awarded bicycles to students who met their fall reading goals. Through the CYCLE reading incentive program, 88 students earned brand-new bikes, a powerful reward for their dedication to literacy and personal growth.

The celebration brought together SBE staff, CIS and CYCLE teams, and valued community partners, including volunteers from Chapelwood and Los Carnales/La Familia Motorcycle Club who showed up in full support of our students’ success.

This effort directly supports Spring Branch ISD’s literacy priority and aligns with the district's vision of T-2-4 for Every Child.
